Join Ellen at Fiber Flurry for a Hands-On Basket Weaving Workshop!

Ellen will be teaching a beginner-friendly Woven Tray class as part of this year’s Fiber Flurry, an annual celebration of fiber arts hosted by the Arts Council for Wyoming County in Perry, NY. With expanded programming and a vibrant community of makers, Fiber Flurry offers the perfect backdrop for learning new skills and connecting with fellow fiber enthusiasts.

In this two-hour session, Ellen will guide participants through creating a woven tray - perfect as a breadbasket, fruit basket, or for holding craft projects in progress. With its glued rim and approachable design, this tray is a wonderful introduction to basket weaving, even if you’ve never picked up a reed before. Come for the learning, leave with a beautiful handmade piece and the skills to keep weaving!
